1.	Welcome by the Chief Executive of the LGA Minutes: The Chief Executive, Carolyn Downs, welcomed representatives to the meeting. Carolyn Downs informed the General Assembly that she would be leaving the LGA in August to take up the role of Chief Executive of the London Borough of Brent. Carolyn Downs thanked members for all their support and kindness over the past 4 years.
2.	Election of President PDF 49 KB View item 2. as DOC 1 MB Minutes: Carolyn Downes invited nominations for the positon of President of the Association for 2014/15. Decision It was moved by Cllr David Sparks OBE (Dudley MBC), seconded by Cllr Gary Porter (South Holland DC) and agreed that Lord Kersake be elected President of the Association until the next Annual Meeting.

5.	Election of Chairman PDF 52 KB View item 5. as DOC 1 MB Minutes: The President invited nominations for the position of Chairman of the Association for 2015/16. Decision It was moved, seconded and agreed that Cllr Gary Porter (South Holland DC) be elected Chairman of the Association until the next Annual Meeting. The Chairman thanked Lord Kerslake and chaired the rest of the meeting.

The following nominations were moved and seconded: Cllr Jim McMahon, Oldham Council, (Labour) Cllr David Hodge, Surrey County Council, (Conservative) Cllr Gerald Vernon-Jackson, Portsmouth City, (Liberal Democrat) Cllr Marianne Overton MBE, Lincolnshire CC (Independent) Decision Cllrs McMahon, Hodge, Vernon-Jackson and Overton were elected as Vice-Chairs of the Association until the next Annual Meeting. The Chairman invited nominations for eleven Deputy-Charis for 2015/16. 9.
