Members discussed how the Board’s important remit, focusing on making communities more resilient, as well as a focus on councils relationship with their communities and residents, and how we make them more robust.  The Chair agreed with this, but stated councils and members need to be realistic about targets and plans for this, given the extreme lack of funding councils have to undertake this.  The Chair concluded by questioning how can we make communities resistant and resilient to solve their own problems, supported firstly by councils.
