Cllr Chris White

Chris White became a county councillor in Hertfordshire in 1993 and group leader in 1994. He was instrumental in setting up the East of England Regional Assembly in 1997 and was leader of the Assembly’s Lib Dem group for ten years. Chris became chair of the Regeneration Board of the Local Government Association in 2004 and chair of the Culture, Tourism and Sport Board in 2006, stepping down in 2012. He is leader of St Albans City & District Council.
