Sir David Wootton is an elected Alderman of the City of London, representing the Ward of Langbourn since 2005. He served as Sheriff of the City of London in 2009-10 and Lord Mayor of the City of London in 2011-12. He was a Board Member of Local Partnerships and its predecessor 4Ps for several years up to 2011 and in December 2012 rejoined the Board as Chairman. He served as an elected member of Common Council in the City of London from 2002-2005 and was Deputy Chairman of the Finance Committee. Sir David was born and brought up in Bradford, Yorkshire. By profession he is a lawyer, and was a Partner in Allen & Overy LLP until March 2015. He is a substitute member of the City Regions Board.
