Ian Hughes gave an overview of the final report of the non-metropolitan Commission. He said that the City Regions and People and Places Board were in agreement on most of Commission’s recommendations.

As the two Boards were broadly in agreement on most aspects of the Commission’s report, the People and Places Board would like to meet to discuss how the issues raised can be jointly progressed.

Action

City Regions Board to meet with People and Places Board representatives to jointly agree next steps following the Commission’s recommendations.
