Deputy Leader with responsibility for Policy, Communications and Finance and Climate Change. Elected in 2011 as part of a manifesto to drive forward public sector first commitment and to bring services back in house. Previous Cabinet Portfolios were Culture, Sport and Visitor Economy. Was also an Assistant Cabinet Member for Housing.
