Cllr Gary Ridley

Cllr Gary Ridley has been a member of the policy board for Culture, Tourism and Sport since 2021, he also represents the LGA on the Place Taskforce organised by Business in the Community. He is a councillor for Woodlands Ward on Coventry City Council, and has served as Leader of the Opposition (and Conservative Group) since 2017.  

He previously served as a Cabinet Member between 2004-2010, and has held a range of positions relating to the work of board. This includes directorships at a museum, a sports trust and a destination management company.

In his spare time, he enjoys attending a range of theatre productions, from shows in London to local amateur productions. He is a keen sports fan and supporter of Coventry City FC.
