Liz Green has been a councillor in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames since 2002, holding various positions, including Leader of the Council and Leader of the Opposition. She has had responsibility for environment, education, children's services, assets, HR, emergency planning, partnerships and voluntary sector over this time.

 

Currently Liz is vice-chair of the LGA Improvement and Innovation with responsibility for sharing best practice and climate change. She is also an LGA peer mentor with experience of peer reviews, workshops and mentoring. She was previously deputy chair of the Children’s and Young People’s board.

 

She is part of the facilitator team for the flagship Leadership Academy training programme and works as a coach for local government leadership councillors.
