Daniel Gardiner, Adviser, introduced this Item, noting that the Industrial Strategy White Paper is due to be published on Monday 27 November 2017.
The Chair introduced Alexandra Jones – Director of Industrial Strategy, from the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to the Board.
There then followed a confidential discussion that touched on a number of areas: skills devolution; partnership working; the role of Local Enterprise Partnerships; funding and local industrial strategies.
