Cllr Wisdom Da Costa

Cllr. Wisdom Da Costa B.Sc, FCCA, AMCT, QTS

Wisdom is a Councillor for Clewer & Dedworth West in Windsor for the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, where he has served residents and Council since 2014 under the auspices of the West Windsor Residents Association.

Wisdom's key focus areas are currently Climate & Environmental issues. He is currently the Vice Chair of the of the Royal Berkshire Pension Fund where he is piloting a radical Responsible Investment Policy to improve reporting and performance on Carbon emissions, Biodiversity Restoration and the elimination of plastics from the supply chain. Additionally he is pushing for change in Windsor including improved business funded public transport, delightful pavements and roads and, greater levels of local governance through a new Windsor Town Council with an increasing delegation of powers plus building resilience to extreme weather. He is also experienced in the planning process.

A former Corporate Treasurer (AMCT) and Science Teacher (QTS) Wisdom is currently in practice as an accountant (FCCA) where he specialises in accounting, tax and tax planning for SMEs and individuals. He is also a beekeeper.

His aim for his role for the LGA will be to deepen connectivity and democracy between Board, LGA Groups, and individual Councillors to help empower all to achieve on the key issues of the day.
