Vikki is the Leader of Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council where she heads a Lib Dem/Independent administration known as the Three Towns Alliance.

She has been a Councillor since 2011 when she was elected to Borough of Poole and was also leader of BCP Council since it was formed in May 2019 until September 2020. In the interim she was Leader of the Opposition where she specialised in Scrutiny.  Vikki has a particular interest in small businesses and community high streets having run her own retail business for 15 years. She is also passionate about Climate Change, in particular in relation to retrofitting of homes and energy generation and improving biodiversity.

Vikki is a mum of four, school governor and volunteer youth leader and has previously fostered children and unaccompanied asylum seeker children and supported exchange students  from many countries. Her family is now hosting a refugee from Ukraine. She is also trustee of several community organisations and local charities and believes in increasing community engagement through devolved budgets and community councils.

Vikki is a Member Peer as well as being deputy chair of the Local Infrastructure and Net Zero Board at the LGA. She is also Deputy Chair of the Liberal Democrat Campaign for Gender Balance and a member of the Liberal Democrat Western Counties Regional Executive.
