Cllr Brenda Dacres is the Deputy Mayor of the London Borough of Lewisham and a member of the LGA Safer and Stronger Communities Board 2023/2024.
Living in Lewisham for over 4 decades, Cllr Brenda Dacres was first elected as a councillor in 2014 and acted as Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Transport and Safer Communities in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
She currently holds the Cabinet Member portfolio for Housing Development and Planning, overseeing an ambitious programme that includes delivering new social homes and the extension of the Bakerloo line into Lewisham.
She is also a member of the Regional Executive Committee of the Labour Party and has an extensive career in I.T and was called to the Bar at Middle Temple in 2006.
