Cllr Nick Chard

Nick was elected to Kent County Council (KCC) in 1997.

He has held various positions at KCC:

Chairman of Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee

Chairman of Governance and Audit Committee

Vice Chairman of Superannuation Committee

He is Chairman of Kent and Medway Fire and Rescue Authority.

Chairman of the Employer’s side NJC for Fire

Member of the Fire Services Management Committee.

Member of JESIP (Joint emergency services interoperability board)

Member of Fire Standards Board.

Nick was trustee of the Centre for Public Scrutiny, Vice Chairman of the IDeA and Director of Local Government Association Properties Ltd and Local Government Management Board.

He is a Director of Engaging Kent CIC (Healthwatch Kent)

Before politics Nick was an arable and fruit farmer in Kent.
